Wild Republic : squirrel monkey

Meet Antuco™. His name, pronounced an-TOO-koh, is a Spanish nickname. Antuco loves to gossip about the other monkeys, jabbering all day long about this one or that. But most of the monkeys try not to listen to Antuco and his rumors. As they say in South America, “Whoever gossips to you will gossip about you.”

Antuco is a squirrel monkey. Squirrel monkeys make continuous croaking, twittering, and barking sounds unlike any other monkey. They do this all day long!

Squirrel monkeys are small, long-legged monkeys with very long tails. The average member of a troupe is no larger than a squirrel - that’s how they got their name.

These monkeys live in the forests along the Orinoco and Amazon Rivers of South America. Maybe there are many things to gossip about there.
