Meet Sabola™. His name, pronounced sah-BOH-lah, means “hot chili pepper” in African. The name seems to fit! Sabola can be a handful. Chattering, playing, leaping, dancing - this little one never seems to sit still. Try to calm him, if you can. Because, as they say in Ethiopia, “Restless feet may step on a snake.” 

Sabola is a chimpanzee. Chimpanzees are members of the great apes. They are loved for their lively personalities. Chimpanzees normally travel in family groups. When a Chimp spots a predator, it lets out a cry that excites the entire family. They all scream at the predator, throw stones, or scamper off. 

Chimps have the largest geographic range of any ape, living in jungles across central Africa. Now they even live in your home!
