Primates have a strong instinct to forage and explore their environment. The Acrylic Tray Forager provides an interesting AstroTurf surface that primates enjoy touching. Primates find the rough texture intriguing and calming. The Acrylic Tray Forager holds the AstroTurf in a vertical position for easy access by curious primates. The Acrylic Tray Forager is an effective habitat enrichment device that appeals to all types of monkeys and apes including tamarins, capuchins, marmosets, macaques, langurs, orangutans, gibbons, and chimpanzees. The Forager fits into our "Universal PES Bracket" which is mounted to the side of caging. The bracket makes it easy to insert a variety of enrichment products, like the Water Bowl and Beaded Curtain. The PES system is designed for animal enrichment for animal transportation, laboratory settings, veterinary enclosures, and zoo habitats. All PES components are autoclavable making it easy to maintain hygiene and IACUC standards in laboratory settings.
